Client Stories
One of the most helpful things when tackling mental health issues is realizing you are not alone. We are grateful to some of our former clients who have chosen to share part of their journey in order to provide HOPE to others.
HopeWay didn't just change my life. It changed the life of my husband, my kids, my parents, in-laws, friends and other family members. It brought back the joyful, loving, caring person they once knew, except stronger and better.
- Ramsha
Before HopeWay, for a long time I hadn't felt like myself, I hadn't had fun doing anything. Today I'm looking to going back to school, I fully expect to having a job and go about living my life.
- Harrison
HopeWay is a place that I can call my second home, and this place has so much potential to help an immeasurable number of people as time goes on. I am thankful that HopeWay has molded me into a new man, and I hope I can mold HopeWay and new patients in this same fashion in the future.
- Brady
To me, the "HopeWay Way" means restoring hope and finding a sense of self worth. This happens throughout the HopeWay journey. From day one, everyone knows your name and has great interest in getting to know you and guiding you through this tough journey.
- Ealer
Here in this comforting physical setting, everyone is in one place, interfacing with each other. There is one evaluation and a team of people working a totally individualized plan. I completed my 30-day intensive outpatient day program, returning home at night. I gained so many new tools through the integrative therapies, particularly mindfulness meditation which has helped me the most.
- Tim
I mainly came to HopeWay to work on my OCD and anxiety. While I was there, Art Therapy really allowed me an opportunity to open up about my identity. It helped me explore why I should be proud of who I am and where I am at as a trans person. Art Therapy was super impactful for me. After leaving HopeWay, I created an art website for LGBTQ and neurodiverse people.
- Kailas
HopeWay offered me the beautiful gift to remove myself from chaos and busyness which in turn allowed me space to gain deeper self-awareness and the confidence to ask for what I need and take steps toward self-care.
- Jaime
HopeWay gave me all of the tools I needed to face this world head on and I still use these tools everyday. I tell people all the time that HopeWay and the people there saved my life. I truly mean that statement and I share it with the world often.
- Charlotte
Before HopeWay I felt hopeless, but now I am hopeful and excited for the life that HopeWay inspired me to build. I believe the best is yet to come because I entered HopeWay. I felt all alone, but now I have my friends and family back, and I am the happiest I have been in years.
- Jake
